Cleveland Wildcats Gold Asst. Coach: Mark Wilson

Mark is a 2006 alumnus who grew up playing hockey on both the east side of Cleveland and Pittsburgh.  He graduated from Ohio State in 2010 and has split his time in Cleveland and London since. 

Mark works in software and currently lives a few blocks from his Alma mater in Ohio City.  He expects forwards to back-check and crash the net.

Varsity Gold Assistant Coach - Karl Scheffler

Coach Scheffler is entering his second season of coaching at Saint Ignatius.

Coach Scheffler was born and raised in the west side neighborhood of Cleveland, Old Brooklyn.  He is a current alumnus of St. Ignatius, graduating in 2009.  In high school he played 4 years of hockey, 3 of those years on the Varsity team. 

After high school he attended Ohio University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He now works for First Energy. 

Cleveland Wildcats Goalie Coach: Matt Kovesdy

Coach Kovesdy is entering his second year with the Cleveland Wildcats where he will be assisting with the goaltending and defensive units. He is a proud alumnus of St. Ignatius (2012) and went on to attend Miami University.

At Miami, Matt held a variety of leadership positions, played club hockey, and graduated with academic mention. He greatly values the lifelong lessons and relationships that the game has built for him, especially those at St. Ignatius.

During the day, Matt works as a corporate & investment real estate strategist.

The Cleveland Wildcats Gold team, a member of the NCHSHL, will begin November 2018 - March 2019. This team is led by Head Coach Jim Free for the 18/19 hockey season.
