This season, Coach Millican will coach the Cleveland Wildcats Blue hockey team into the North Coast High School Hockey League.

With coaching experience in the NCHSHL in 2015-16, Coach Millican looks to bring back a strong group of players that have a passion for the game of hockey.

Millican was an assistant on the 2016-17 Varsity Gold OHSAA JV State Championship team, with focus on offensive play.

With experience playing high school hockey in NEO, and college hockey out East, Coach Millican will facilitate a competitive atmosphere for the Blue Team as members of USA Hockey’s High School Division. 

Prior to this upcoming season with the 16UAAA team, Coach Ian spent three seasons coaching at Winterhurst in Lakewood, OH. Last year Coach Ian was an assistant coach with the 15UAAA team.

Coach Ian was born and raised in Cleveland and a graduate of the Saint Ignatius class of 2009. During high school, he played four years of hockey, with three seasons on Varsity.

Coach Ian then went to Hiram College in Eastern Ohio. In college, Coach Ian played baseball and received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sociology.

He currently works for Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services as a caseworker.

Coach Scheffler is entering his first season of coaching with the Cleveland Wildcats. Coach Scheffler spent the previous two seasons coaching the St. Ignatius Blue team.

Coach Scheffler was born and raised in the west side neighborhood of Cleveland, Old Brooklyn.  He is a current alumnus of St. Ignatius, graduating in 2009. 

In high school he played four years of hockey, three of those years on the Varsity team.  After high school he attended Ohio University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He now works for First Energy. 

Coach Kovesdy is entering his second year with the Cleveland Wildcats where he will be assisting with the goaltending and defensive units. He is a proud alumnus of St. Ignatius (2012) and went on to attend Miami University.

At Miami, Matt held a variety of leadership positions, played club hockey, and graduated with academic mention. He greatly values the lifelong lessons and relationships that the game has built for him, especially those at St. Ignatius.

During the day, Matt works as a corporate & investment real estate strategist.
