Friday, November 24 – Sunday, November 26 @ Gilmour Academy Ice Arena
The Midview Middies, winners of this event four of the last six years, are not here this year. That opens up the field and none of this year’s six participants have won the event before – including the host Nordonia Knights.
Three 2017 Baron Cup participants headline the six-team field: Aurora lost the Baron Cup III final in overtime to CVCA after Mayfield lost to CVCA in the semis. Parma qualified for the Baron Cup II, but lost in the quarterfinals to eventual champion Olmsted Falls.

Saturday morning’s Mayfield-Parma (11:15 a.m.) could be a good one. Both teams qualified for their respective Baron Cups last year – Parma in the White Division and Mayfield in the Blue. If you don’t get there in time you can catch Aurora-Canfield at 12:45 p.m. Canfield took Aurora to OT in a non-league game last year with the Greenmen coming out on top.
Parma and Westlake are the two White North representatives. Surprisingly, the two schools faced each other last year for the first time, with the Redmen winning both meetings convincingly. That makes Parma the favorite to take home the hardware here.
