Cole, Kotseos among Explorers losses to graduation

When it comes to its success in recent years, the Hudson ice hockey team relied on dependable and prolific scorers Max Cole and Chandler Kotseos.

Those days are over and third-year head coach Caleb Wyse is trying make sure his current players don’t get nostalgic when they take the ice.

“They can’t look down the bench and see No. 9 (Cole) and No. 12 (Kotseos) any more,” Wyse said.

It’s hard not to get nostalgic when it comes to the Explorers’ 2016-17 season.

They set the school record for wins after posting an overall record of 24-7-1, shared the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League Red North Division title with Shaker Heights and Rocky River, had a 12-game winning streak and reached the Sweet Sixteen.
