Third period flurry leads Cardinals past Bruins
St. Charles scored five unanswered goals in a span of 6:55 to blow open the game in the third period and defeat the host Padua Bruins, 7-1.
Nic Zimmerman and Joseph Halsey both scored twice and Will Hoag picked up three assists for the Cardinals. St. Charles goaltender Jake Badger handled 12 of the 13 shots Padua sent his way.
Justin Eles scored his eighth goal of the season for Padua.
