Fans of the Erie Otters must wait until April 21 to learn who the franchise selects with the first overall pick in the Ontario Hockey League's priority selection draft.

Erie received that honor thanks to a weighted lottery the league conducted Wednesday. It determined which of its non-playoff teams drafted where among the top four picks.

The Otters, who last Saturday concluded their 2022-23 season at 21-40-2-5, were one of those four. They had a 30% chance of possessing the first pick.
