Mentor’s Baron Cup I final Feb. 13 against Hudson was delayed by about 45 minutes due to a Zamboni malfunction.

The solution? Old reliable: An idle Zamboni sitting in the northeast corner of the rink, familiar to generations in the Greater Cleveland hockey community for its staying power.

The Cardinals, when Baron Cup Sunday rolls around, are quickly becoming an old reliable among the same ilk as that Zamboni.
