ELYRIA — Elyria Catholic kept its resurgent hockey season moving along Wednesday night, scoring just 31 seconds into its first-place showdown with Nordonia and never looking back in a 5-2 Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League Blue South division game at North Park.

The win moves the Panthers to 8-1 overall and 7-0 in league play. The Knights dropped to 6-6-1 and were handed their first league loss at 5-1.
