A hungry goaltender with a relentless drive to prove himself, Toledo native Austyn Roudebush has no plans to stop his pursuit of playing at the highest levels of pro hockey.
Roudebush, a 2011 Whitmer graduate, earned a long-awaited call-up to the ECHL last week. The promotion came on the heels of a remarkable stretch of success between the pipes with the Knoxville Ice Bears of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
The 6-foot-3 and 220-pound goaltender became the first player in the history of the SPHL to win the league's player of the week award for three consecutive weeks.
