BROOKLYN — Amherst just keeps winning.
The fifth-seeded Comets jumped on sixth-seeded Strongsville early Tuesday, scoring the first three goals in what turned out to be a 5-3 district quarterfinal victory at the Brooklyn Recreation Center.
Now the Comets (26-4) get to see if they can keep that winning going against the top program in the state. In a dream matchup they hoped to get last year, the Comets will face four-time defending state champion St. Ignatius on Saturday at 2 p.m. after the Wildcats cruised to an 11-0- win over Olmsted Falls in Tuesday's opener.
