Baron Cup Tournament awaits Aurora

By Jim Smith 02/01/2018, 9:45am EST

Greenmen seeding still TBD

The Aurora Greenmen and Kent Roosevelt ice hockey teams complete regular-season play in the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League (GCHSHL) this week.

Aurora (13-6-1 overall, 4-5-1 in league play) will complete its regular-season schedule on Saturday when the Greenmen host the Twinsburg Tigers in non-league match up at The Pond in Auburn Township at 6:40 p.m.

Those same two teams skated to a 2-2 tie last Saturday in a GCHSHL Blue North Division game. In an earlier league game this season, the Tigers skated past Aurora 7-4.

Twinsburg has a league game against Normandy on Friday and the result of that game will determine Aurora’s final seeding in the GCHSHL Baron Cup III postseason tournament.
