SWOHSHL Tournament Set

Despite a flurry of games over the past weekend; where every team was in action to finish regular season play, there was not much movement in the way of teams since the middle of January. In the last three weeks of the season the only movement was La Salle overtaking Sycamore in the Gold Division to move into second place. The final seeds for this weekend’s tournament are as follows:

Red Division

1. St Xavier, 2. Talawanda, 3. Centerville, 4. Alter, 5. Elder, 6. Beavercreek

Gold Division

1. Troy, 2. Ls Salle, 3. Sycamore, 4. Mason

Both divisions will crown a champion on Sunday afternoon at South Metro Ice in Centerville.

In the Red Division the top two seeds get a bye for the first round, meaning Centerville hosts Beavercreek on Friday and Alter hosts Elder on Thursday evening. The winners are then re-seeded with the lowest remaining seed playing St Xavier and the lower remaining seed playing Talawanda. The winners of the second round play Sunday for the Championship.

In the Gold tournament, Troy hosts Mason on Friday and La Salle hosts Sycamore on Saturday in the first round. The winners play Sunday for the Gold Championship

Moeller and Springboro are both in action this weekend in the Blue Jacket Cup. Both are in the Consolation Bracket. Moeller is the #9 seed and Springboro is the #10 seed. Moeller plays Friday evening at the Ice Haus against the winner of Gahanna and Scioto. Springboro hosts #15 St Francis DeSales on Friday at Chiller North.
