Gilmour's Herlong Hits Empty Net from 180+ feet

Gilmour Academy sophomore goaltender Toby Herlong has done an excellent job keeping pucks put of the net this season.  As a matter of fact, he leads all goaltenders in the Great Lakes Hockey League in goals-against average (0.71), save percentage (.953) and shutouts (6).

Last weekend he showed he can put pucks in the net also.

It has been a pretty amazing season for Herong, but one of the highlights came when he played with the Lancers' JV team as an injury fill-in and scored a goal.

We are only able to provide security camera footage from the GA end of the rink, but it is still fun to watch Herlong make the play - and the reaction of he and his teammates (not to mention the little Lancers fans watching from the glass).

"It was an unforgettable moment," Herlong said.
