Golden Bears Take Fifth at Padua Tournament
UA defeats Northview, 4-2 in consolation round
Will Lawless scored a pair of power plays goals and Garrett Alderman stopped 24 of 26 shots as the Upper Arlington Golden Bears defeated Sylvania Northview, 4-2, in the fifth-place consolation game at the 2018 Padua Holiday Hockey Tournament.
The game was tied, 2-2, after two periods but third-period goals by UA’s Hunter Triplett and Tim Kramer gave the Bears the winning margin.
Northview’s Tyler Clem made 33 saves and Jared Barfell and Dougie Carter scored for the Wildcats.
With the win, Upper Arlington (3-1-0) finishes in fifth place at the tournament and Sylvania Northview (1-2-1) sixth.
