St. Edward Earns Spot in Final
Eagles have not won Padua Tourney since 2008
Four different players scored for St. Edward in the second period to spark the Eagles to a 6-3 win over Findlay in their final round-robin game at the 22nd annual Padua Holiday Hockey Tournament.
Upper Arlington could still have caught the Eagles, but needed 4.5 of a possible five points from their game against Toledo St. John’s. When the Golden Bears lost the first period of that game, Ed’s spot in the final was secured.
The Eagles will play Liberty for the championship tomorrow at 3:10 p.m. St. Edward has not played in the final of the tournament since 2013, and has not won the event since 2008.
