Preppers and Titans Kick off 2018 Tournament with a thriller
University School senior Critter Coughlin stopped 24 of 26 shots to backstop the Preppers to a 3-2 win over Toledo St. John’s in the opening game of the 2018 Padua Holiday Hockey Tournament.
Beau O’Sickey’s goal with :17 left in the second period gave US some jump and a 2-1 lead at the second intermission.
Tyler Alt scored a very important insurance goal with just under two minutes left in the third period that stood up as the game-winner.
The Titans’ Nick Meader scored with 1:22 to go, but St. John’s could not get the equalizer past Coughlin.
