BROOKLYN, Ohio – Rocky River was knocked out of district bracket play in a hard-fought 3-1 loss to St. Ignatius on Saturday.
A fast-skating and elusive rotation of forward lines helped the Wildcats (27-9-1) outshoot the Pirates, 30-17, marking just the second time the Maroon & White have been outshot by double digits this season (Dec. 2 vs. Ontario Hockey). St. Ignatius scored a goal in each period of Saturday’s matinee contest, a semifinal game in the Brooklyn District Tournament.
