March 28, 2023 Padua press release:

The Padua Athletic Department and Hockey program is excited to announce the addition of Mike Glover ‘75 to the Varsity coaching staff. Glover will join Head Coach Perry Cohagan ‘89 and staff next season to help build off of this year’s 20-win season, GLHL regular season title and Regional Finals appearance.

Glover’s playing experience includes four years of Varsity hockey at Padua Franciscan High School, where he is regarded as one of the best Hockey players in Padua history. The four-year letterman and starter helped the Bruins to the Baron Cup Championship in 1975 by scoring five goals in an 8-7 overtime victory. Glover’s overall record was 80-11-4 at Padua, and he earned All-League honors all four years with the Bruins winning three league titles. Glover was also named to the All-Scholastic team after his junior and senior seasons and held the record for most points in the Greater Cleveland Hockey League upon graduation. Glover was recently inducted into the Padua Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.

Glover has an extensive coaching background in the Cleveland area over the past 35 years with Winterhurst, Cleveland Warriors, Cleveland Barons and Team Ohio. During that time, Glover has guided teams to the National Championship on four different occasions as a Head Coach. Glover also has over eight years of High School coaching experience with Parma, Avon Lake, and St. Ed’s Junior Varsity team, which won two consecutive JV State Championships.
