Rink No. 1 at Tam-O-Shanter is sure to be packed and rocking with enthusiastic student sections for the high school hockey regional semifinals this weekend.

Top-seeded Northview (22-8-3) hosts upstart Bowling Green (14-17-3) in the first semifinal on Friday at 6 p.m. St. Francis de Sales (17-14-1) squares off with top rival St. John's Jesuit (17-15-4) in the other semifinal at 4 p.m. Saturday.

“It's going to be a great playoff atmosphere,” said St. Francis coach Chris Varga.

The winners will advance to the regional final March 3.
