Saint Ignatius, St. Edward top first OHSAA rankings of the season

Three Regions represented in the Top 5 in MyHockeyRankings

The Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo areas were all represented in the Top 5 of the first MyHockeyRankings of the 2022-23 season released today at www.myhockeyrankings.com.

Independents Saint Ignatius and St. Edward came in at the top, ranked 1-2 ahead of Olentangy Liberty of the Capital Hockey Conference.

Two Northwest Hockey Conference squads, Sylvania Northview and Findlay, rounded out the Top 5.

Defending state champion Gilmour Academy came in at #6, followed by Great Lakes Hockey League rivals University School and Padua Franciscan.

Olentangy Berlin (CHC) and Walsh Jesuit (GLHL) also placed in the Top 10.

The top-ranked teams from the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League were Mentor (#15) and Hudson (#17) while Beavercreek (#34) was the top team from the Southwest Ohio High School Hockey League.
