Seven former OSU women competing at Worlds

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s hockey will be well represented at the upcoming 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championships with seven past and present Buckeyes participating in the tournament both on and off the ice.

Emma Maltais (Team Canada) and Andrea Braendli (Team Switzerland) represent two of 28 NCAA players competing at this year’s World Championships. Rising senior Braendli finished the 2020-21 season 11-7-0 with a .915 save percentage. A finalist for the HCA Goalie of the Year Award, she finished the season ranked 10th in win percentage among Division I goaltenders. A two-time All-American and Patty Kazmaier Award Top 10 Finalist, Maltais finished the 2020-21 season with 16 points on five goals and a team-high 11 assists. She plans to return to the Ohio State program for the 2022-23 season after centralizing with the Canadian National Team.
