Ice Breakers staying busy preparing for third season in Mentor

Team ownership now consolidated locally

The Mentor Ice Breakers haven’t played a game since March 8 when they beat the Delaware Thunder, 6-5, to snap a 16-game losing streak.

The ice is currently gone from all three rinks inside Mentor Civic Arena.

All this because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Ice Breakers have been busy nonetheless as they plan ahead for their third season in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. As long as COVID-19 is under control at the time, the Ice Breakers and the rest of the FPHL will open the 2020-21 season in late October.
