After two rounds of the Ohio High School Athletic Association ice hockey tournament, Talawanda stands alone.

Springboro, St. Xavier, Sycamore, Elder and Moeller joined Talawanda as the only Greater Cincinnati schools to participate in the tournament. Elder, Springboro and Sycamore lost in round one, while Moeller and St. Xavier were eliminated in round two in the games played in the Columbus region.

"There's a little battle between Columbus and Cincinnati," Talawanda head coach Zach Sens said. "You hate to see Moeller get knocked out and you hate to knock out Springboro because you'd rather have an all Cincinnati final eight than a Columbus final, but we are happy to be the ones that are left."
