Despite losing their first game of the 2019-20 season, the Saint Ignatius Wildcats are still the unanimous #1 team in this week’s Ohio High School Hockey Coach’s Poll.
The 2-4 teams stay the same as well with undefeated Upper Arlington, Gilmour Academy and St. Edward. Gilmour and St. Edward played to a 2-2 tie on Friday.
The big change this week was Mentor of the GCHSHL moving up to #5 – their highest position in the rankings this season. The Cardinals jumped over Toledo St. John’s and Olentangy Liberty, pushing them down to the 6-7 positions.
St. Charles and Sylvania Northview swapped spots with St. Charles moving up from #9 to #8 despite losing 2-0 to unranked New Albany on Friday while Northview defeated St. John’s on Saturday.
Holy Name remained in the 10th spot.
