Steps down after nine seasons, three district titles

Tuesday, Troy Gray resigned as the head varsity hockey coach at St. Edward High School.

In nine seasons after taking over for Robbie Whidden in 2010, Gray’s teams won over 200 games.

Playing in the most competitive area for hockey in the state, Gray’s teams won three District Championships during those nine years, and each time the Eagles made it to the State Championship Final before falling.

The Eagles had nine consecutive 20-win seasons under his tutelage.
