A hungry Northview hockey team refused to be denied as the Wildcats captured a district championship Friday with a consistent and determined effort.
The Wildcats doubled up St. John's Jesuit 4-2, punching their ticket to the state final four. Northview (13-14-6) jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one period and never trailed before a raucous crowd of 1,300 at Tam-O-Shanter in Sylvania.
