AURORA GREENMEN

The Aurora Greenmen won more games last season than they have since the 2006-07 campaign when they went 21-5-3 and won two games in the district tournament.  Their 17-11-0 record included a 9-5-0 mark in the GCHSHL Blue North Division.

This season Aurora moves up to the White South – the first time in school history they have competed above the Blue Division.  They jumped right into the season as well, splitting a pair of league games on the first weekend of the OHSAA season.  They topped Canfield, 2-1, in their first-ever White Division game, then dropped a 4-3 decision to Solon.

The Greenmen then went on to a strong showing at the Nordonia Thanksgiving Tournament, winning all three of their preliminary games before dropping the championship game to Parma.  They vanquished Westlake (5-1), host Nordonia (5-1) and NDCL (8-0) handily on their way to the second-place finish.

In addition to tackling the White South league schedule, the Greenmen will compete in the Avon Lake Invitational right after Christmas, and the Parma MLK Tournament, as they work towards their goal of qualifying for the Baron Cup II
