KENT, Ohio – Rocky River defeated ranked Sylvania Northview, 3-0, in game one of a split doubleheader in holiday tournament action on Wednesday.

Day two of the Greg Shupe Memorial Shootout hosted by Walsh Jesuit had the Pirates taking on the No. 3-ranked (Ohio High School Ice Hockey Coaches) Northview Wildcats and then the host Warriors of Walsh Jesuit. River split on the day – blanking the Wildcats and then dropping a 3-1 decision to the Warriors – but the Maroon & White still managed to make their way into Thursday’s tournament title game.
