Namers, Patriots close out preliminary round with tie
Austin Barok’s second goal of the game for Olentangy Liberty was the only tally of the third period, and was the tying goal in a 4-4 draw between the Patriots and the Holy Name Green Wave.
Liberty had leads of 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2, but the Namers tied it up each time. Tyler Guarniere’s unassisted goal with 2:27 remaining in the second period gave Holy Name their first lead of the game at 4-3.
The Namers (1-1-1/7.5) and Patriots (1-1-1/7.0) both conclude the preliminary round with a .500 record.
